    8-14 Feb. This week I.....

Post by Alex R on Sun Feb 07, 2010 2:30 pm

    This week I....

Don't realy have a specific structue. I go back to work on Wednesday so will get some organisaion back into my life. Could be seen as god, could be seen as bad.

Sessions I want to get done are

    3x swim 2 40min and a 70 min ocean swim
3x runs 1 around my 7.8km loop, 1 of around an hour and whatever I do with the squad on Saturday
3x bike One squad bike and a couple on the way home from work

Will probably be in the vicinity of a 10/11 hour week so building slowly.

    Aim for about

    5 swims
    3-4 rides
    3-4 runs

5 weeks out from an IM so the key sessions are really long at the moment.

This week my primary goal is 3 swims and at least 40 min a day on the other 4 days.

I have a recovery week - woohoo! To be followed the week after by the lead into Huski.

So it started with an 85 min swim squad (darn, down one point) followed by a 75min run. Last year that would have been a really, really long run for me, my how things have changed.

The rest of the week is the same structure as normal, just no hard or long runs, aerobic 2.5 hr ride and 20min run off the bike on Saturday instead of a more intense brick session, and 3.5hr long ride on Sunday. About a 15 hour week, compared with 16 1/2 last week.

I finished the run leg of a sprint tri in a higher position than I started it. Wonders will never cease.

did the 20 km in the water,
ran 3 times. Im using APs theory of going into the race underdone. Smile
rode 2 times including a 185km in 5:25. things are coming together.
