hmmm, I must be planning to run a lot less than you guys.

My program will get me 24pts spread over 14 runs. Any more than that and I may start to fall apart. After an injury induced (ie bike crash) lay-off I'm only just getting back into it so I won't be pushing for the 30pts in 30 days.

The following month is 32pts (in 15 runs) and the next is 24pts (in 11 runs). Then in the last week and a bit I have 5 more runs before IM Oz. So in the next 95 days, I have 45 runs which is good because I don't handle back-to-back runs that well so that seems to be a nice spread over the program. I am willing to commit here to an improved IM run and under 4hrs for the first time (4:17 & 4:11 previously I think).

Sorry for the ramble. Resume normal programing Very Happy

I made it to 1 point, but that might be all the running I do for a week or so.

    Merry Christmas to all.

I managed to get out 5 times in 7 days (each for an hour, so a total of 10 points). I wouldn't have normally done this much, and certainly not four runs in four days but a challenge is a challenge. All runs have been easy @ 5:50- 6:00 pace (threshold is roughly 4:45 atm).
I loved the way the challenge put me out in different weather (and Melbourne is great for this); one day 37C, the next day a torrential downpour. It was nice to see how my body dealt with the different conditions (rainy day had me 5 minutes faster for the same distance and 20 bpm average less than the hot day).
I dropped 1.1 kgs in the first 4 days. Then I had Christmas Day and Boxing day off and put 1.4 kgs back on in that time (one day on the piss, the next recovering with substantial rehydration attempts)- I guess that was glyco-water depletion/re-uptake in action (or am I way off mark?).
Running feels easy at the moment - no niggles. I'm looking forward to what week two brings.

it is amazing how improvement comes from actually doing Laughing I ran the same route yesterday as earlier in the week and got to the point that I turned to make it an even 60 minutes and I was nearly 3 minutes ahead of schedule so had to keep on going! Average heart rates were very similar as well.
