What races are on your Horizon?

So we can keep an eye out, what do you dudes have coming up race wise?

Are they the games that are on in Tassie? I was toying with the idea of coming over for them.

no microman unfortunately, plenty of other stuff to make up for it. Yeah they are on in hobart Mid Feb, seems like a good week. aquathon, duathlon, triathlon, full range of cycling and/or running (including a 3km up hill run time trial, 1km of that is steps. t3events are running the multisport stuff.
I think its $80 to register for the games, then just pay the individual race fees, more of a party than a serious event from what I gather.

No microman?? I'll have to start lobbying them now...

Sounds like a good week - I'll definitely look into it to see if I can make it as I really like the idea of a week of doing lots of different kinds of events. The uphill race on the other hand I'll pass on

Rebuilding my base which is all but gone after a year off. Currently on a 24 week beginner HIM program with a plan for a break than another program focusing on speed into Shep, might do some individual events along the way to keep it interesting.

You may not have realised but there is a calander on here that you can add stuff to. To do it, you click start new topic then scroll down to the bottom and there is the bit for calander entries there.

Double focus for the season - qualify for Budapest Oly (easy in my AG, just finish one qualifier) and do better at Huski than last year(on target provided my knees hold out).

long term goal of NRS... any road races between now and then.

2009 was the worst year of of my life and ended with the worst race I have ever taken part in (I failed, not the event)

2010 -

No serious training til March - just do what I want, when I want.
No heart rate monitoring until bout the same time I reckon.

THEN:

A marathon - Adel (depends if course changes) or Melbourne Marathon

Busso IMWA

(That is all I have planned)

Feb - Husky LC if I'm in Syd
Mar - NZ IM
May - Tour de Cure (Syd-to-Sunshine Coast ride)

That's all that is locked in at this stage.

Haven't raced since Cronulla OD in March after a long o/seas trip and then foot injury.
Will be doing Kurnell in Jan and then Husky LC in Feb.
Maybe throw in a club race or two over the next few months. Then club champs.

If the foot feels good I'd love to have a crack at Sydney marathon later in the year..
