100m or less i own at sprints.

100k or more, longer the better i rekon

21.1 is a good distance as there is some 'racing' to it.. and i dont like the pain of sprints

    4k/200k/5k

Not the runner I used to be!

did you see the race format at Huski this year for the protour? 3 times through 300m Swim / 8km Cycle / 2km Run but the stipulation is that you can be eliminated, so there is a 6min break from the time the winner crosses the line to the start of the next race. If you dont make it in the 6min window......gone.

I am all about that race next year Smile

I reckon the best race I have ever done distance wise was 4/120/30 (was actuallly 5.1/120/30). Superb. I was just getting sick of the bike when I finished and the same with the run.

I'm with you Steely. In the States they even have a race called an Aquabike, sounds right up my alley, swim then bike then finish lol.

Ive only done 2 of them with a huge difference in times (5:59:55 and 4:51:25) and feel both races were able to be raced. Not just survival.

Love the old ITU LC distance!!

(But I think the new Abu Dabi tri will be brilliant, pity work prevents me from going to the UAE for anything other than work!!)

Very few people can race an Ironman. The thing I like about HIM is you can take a risk and not suffer through a 40km walk.

I will take the short race in the desert thanks !!
1.5/100/10 sounds pretty close to perfect for me Very Happy and the heat is ok too...

1500/60/15 is a good day out

or a run thru a plastic wading pool straight on the bike for 80km and off for a 10 or 12km run

when they added swimming to triathlon it was changed forever Razz
