    Run Challenge

    800m run TT. On a track or on the road, what ever. If you have a HRM, please share the max and ave heart rates. Also if you have Garmin, the graph wwould be rad as well. As fast as you can. Don't forget to warm up properly of course.

    Post result in this thread by Monday Dec 7.

    Alex 2 questions.

    1. I'm down for a 40 min run tomoz arvo, considering I'm less than 2 weeks away from Busso would there be a problem doing this TT as part of that run? E.g. run for 15 minutes to warmup then do the 800 m TT then run a bit more to cool down. I've never ran an 800m so pretty interested to see what I can do.

    2. Can I just rock up to the track at UQ for this or do you need some clearance or to pay a fee to someone?

    You are supposed to pay at UQ yes. There is also a grass track just off the end of Fred Schonell and I usd to run there quite a bit. It would be about 7 minutes from the Regatta running. You could run from home, do the session then run back. Infact, I have tomorrow as morning swim/40 min run then an arvo 40 min run. We could hook up and I could show you where it is.

    Ok done

    Slow run to the track from work (2.5km), one lap a bit quicker as warm up, quick rest and then straight into it. Absolutely spent at the end.

    Time - 2:24.7
    Max HR – 188
    Ave HR - 180

    That hurt.

    Sitting back at work and hour later and I still have a hacking cough that I didn’t have before….

    EDIT: had a 2nd crack
    Time - 2:20
    Didn't wear HR monitor but it didn't feel as bad this time.

    limited running since Perth but was doing 1km repeats on 3.30-3.40 end of sept...3km TT of 10.51
    slight hip issue at present so reluctant to smash out 800m - never run on a track so hope to have a crack in future.
